I’ve seen artist spaces before, but the Spinnere I’ve seen artist spaces before, but the Spinnerei is in a league of its own. The Baumwollspinnerei is an old cotton mill set within a vast industrial complex. It was the *Rundgang* (open studios event), so all the studios and galleries were open—ASPN, EIGEN+ART, B2, and so on (about twenty in total)—and the *UMBAU* exhibition by @sammlungglampe opened at the @jochenhempel gallery, featuring some of my work. I visited many wonderful exhibitions and studios throughout the day. Jochem Mühlenbrink’s show at ASPN was well worth seeing. In the evening, there was a grand dinner for all the galleries and artists at a fantastic venue where the artists had left their signatures on the walls. In our area, it was Sven Kroner who had covered the wall with painted studies for his paintings; it was an installation in itself. @sophiedoelz – thanks for your help, hospitality, and organization @franzhempel – for the welcome and your enthusiasm (good luck with your show in Berlin) @sammlungglampe – for the invitation @jochenhempel – for the exhibition and dinner @spinnereigalleries
